Spring Hike or Bike and/or BBQ at Top of the Valley Farm, located in the Beaver Valley near Kimberley Ontario.  Arrive early for a hike, or just for dinner.

We would like to invite the Ski Bees members to hike in the valley, or go cycling as we are located on a road bike route.  Complete with a BBQ for dinner here at Top of the Valley Farm on the Saturday night, if the winds are low we will also have a bonfire.  Our farm is located just 1 km up the road from a Bruce Trail entrance.  For road bikes or gravel grinders, our road has a cycling shoulder and many top notch routes as hilly as you would like or more flattish, but not flat.  We can supply people with maps, directions, drop off service to trail entrances from which you would hike towards the farm, if you are solo, stop in at the farm and meet up with a hiking partner(s).

BYOB & Bring Your Own Chair

There are two B&B's in the area, handy to the trails, they do book up, so if you are planning on staying, be sure to reserve soon. The B&B contact information is in the auto reply when you rsvp.

The map shown is map #25, Kimberley, the Beaver Valley section.

Closer to the event we will confirm start times and our address, for now RSVP so we can have an idea of how many are interested.

Only logged in current Ski Bees members can see the RSVP list.

Please take the time to familiarize yourself with this trail map to locate runs best suited for your skiing ability level. For our gentler skiers: Start off on The Arrowhead chair and get off mid way. Ski the runs "ABC" and "Lower Alpine" to warm you up and get you used to the daily conditions. From the top of this Arrowhead chair lift you may access the "Arrowhead" run (to the left)  which is a designated blue run. After becoming comfortable on this run, the progression would be to then add the runs "Kent "and "Alpine"  from either the Arrowhead chair or the Summit chair.  There are quite a few other "BLUE" runs off these two chairs as well as numerous "black runs" which should keep everyone happy!
Please be reminded that the Millennium chair services mainly black runs, and only has 2 blue runs off of it, Long John's is a steeper, dark blue run, and "Snow Poke" is the long winding blue road which brings you back to the main clubhouse.
The Steeps chair is DOUBLE BLACKS ONLY.
